Back in 1961, Ronald Reagan did a talk on the dangers of government encroachment into our lives. He spoke of the innocent-sounding desire on the part of some to provide medical care to senior citizens, and pointed out that even the liberals who were pushing for it knew that, if they could just get the camel’s nose under the tent, they could achieve more socialism later. It’s worth 10 minutes of your time to listen to this:
President Reagan was way ahead of his time in recognizing the dangers of socialism to the American way of live. If he were alive today, I wonder what he would say. I think he would be horrified.
